Yup can do that too.

It can even import videos too and put it into different folder for you too should you wish. Cover a lot of what you're looking for here but without scripting and so on. I've been using it, hence why I think it's great so give it a try, the homepage for it is here - http://www.damonlynch.net/rapid/ and there's a PPA for it - ppa:dlynch3/ppaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3822757291061444396.post-5205783276867394422010-07-05T15:22:01.172-05:002010-07-05T15:22:01.172-05:00For a moment I got excited and I thought you'd...For a moment I got excited and I thought you'd show us how to ntpdate your cameras!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3822757291061444396.post-22765201214390471812010-07-05T07:01:10.415-05:002010-07-05T07:01:10.415-05:00I'd recommend using Phatch for this kind of st...I'd recommend using Phatch for this kind of stuff. No need for scriptfoo and it's much more flexible than gThumb in terms of what you can do with the Exif tags (I like to create folders based on year, then month taken, for example)

The main phatch website is http://photobatch.stani.be/ and it's in the repos.

Also, I wrote a short Exif article ages ago which talks about tagging your photos jBrout :
http://www.scaine.net/site/2010/01/jbrout/

jBrout is pretty awesome at manipulating the Exif in your photos, adding categories/tags or even comments which will then be searchable by tools like Picasa.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3822757291061444396.post-44909841970638964622010-07-04T17:33:23.147-05:002010-07-04T17:33:23.147-05:00It's funny how different photographers describ...It's funny how different photographers describe their kit.
